Haircuts

Last week I had a mommy helper for the day and I decided to
tackle haircuts for the kids.  Grayson was long overdue and Caroline has never had a cut and with family pictures coming up, it just  needed to be done.

Grandma is our usual go-to for haircuts and she does a fantastic job.  But she's so far away and we don't have plans to see her real soon, so I headed to the closest place for kids' cuts.

Grayson was determined that he did not need a haircut but as soon as he saw the jeep and the video games, he decided it wasn't such a bad idea after all.

It was so nice to have an extra set of hands to keep on eye on the other 2.

I wasn't sure how Caroline would do, but she found a baby doll and the pink princess car --they seemed to make her happy.

Apparently, getting a haircut is hard work--she would not stop yawning...

All done!
and goodbye dead-ends!

Back home and back to work...little mommy...

Lydia is amazing and we are so thankful for her help!! I need a full-time Lydia!!!

And one last sweet picture....

CHAF 2013

Cherokee Heights Arts Festival 2013

Our neighborhood art show was this past weekend.  Our family had a table this year and it was quite a success!!
Since Grayson has really blossomed this year in his artistic abilities, we put him to work.

He made holiday cards and they turned out super cute!
 Look at his little table...

And my table was a little scarce this year but I'm just happy that I had something to sell--and that I actually found the time and energy to whip it all up!

 A  few of my creations...
I love how the tutu and crown turned out. They sold out quickly and Caroline kept asking to wear one, so I'll be making her one in the near future.

And Chad's growth chart rulers, were once again, a big hit.
The kids were troopers hanging out with us part of the day.  Then, Chad took them home for naps.

I didn't get a pic of Anna Claire that morning, but she just stayed with me at the table all day--such a sweet girl!!

Here is one of her more recent pics--lots of smiles these days--just precious.

Halloween 2013

First of all, this baby is almost 7 weeks and couldn't be any sweeter!!

And these 2 sillies have been so excited for Halloween for the past few weeks. (one little boy in particular!)

Grayson was determined to be a skeleton this year and Caroline had no opinion, so we decided she should be a monkey.

We went to Boo at the ZOO...

did some pumpkin carving...

and finally the BIG day was here!

After a quick neighborhood dinner, it was time to TRICK-OR-TREAT!
And this little pumpkin slept the whole. entire. time.  Did not move a muscle!

Such a fun Halloween with sweet friends!!
