2nd Annual Hayes' Family Camping Trip

Last weekend, we met up with Chad's brother and his family for our annual camping trip.  I stayed home last year because Anna Claire was so  young.  This year, Anna Claire stayed with Mimi and Papa--I didn't think she was quite ready.

The tradition is to meet up at Burrells Ford campground off of the Chattooga River and then hike in to a campsite and stay for a few days.
The kids were super excited and ready to go! We found a great spot right off of the river.  The kids enjoyed playing and swimming, the guys did some trout fishing (and had a lot of luck!), and us ladies stayed around the campsite to keep the fire going.
So many great memories were made! It was such a sweet time!

loading up--this is right before one of the wheels on the wagon popped---yep! that made for a very interesting hike in!

The trip ended with the BEST surprise!!  Bonnie had her baby that morning, so we met Mimi and Papa at the hospital to pick up Anna Claire and to hold that new bundle of love!!  We were all so excited to meet sweet Cash Ellis Trammell!!

The Lord could not have planned our trip more perfectly! It was such a blessing to see that brand- spanking new baby!!  We love him so!

Grayson was so happy to find out that he had a new boy cousin!!

They set up a toy shop.  Grayson said he was designing the toys.

Caroline drove the "antique cars" all by herself.  She was so proud!

The kids were pooped after spending time at Mimi and Papa's!
