Valentine's Fun

We have been preparing for Valentine's Day the whole month of February!
We had fun with these cute mailboxes.  Each morning, the kids had a special love note and treat from mommy and daddy.

Grayson made Valentines for family...

We made love shacks...

Grayson made this valentine box while Mimi was visiting...

We've just been trying to keep busy on these long, cold days.

This morning they awoke to a special Valentine treat!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

More Snow Days

This time around, the snow seemed much more enjoyable. It was a better feeling knowing that most everyone was at home with their families and not stuck on the interstates, like last time.
The temperatures weren't quite as frigid as a few weeks ago and the snow was just perfect for building a snowman.

Caroline was begging to go outside and within 5 minutes, she was once again, miserable, and begging for the snow to "go byebye".   At least she gave it another try.

Grayson was intrigued by the "snow popsicles"...

and LOVED being able to roll the snow into his very own "Frosty"!

Now...we are ready for some warmer temperatures!!!

The BIG snow!

We survived!  Yes, we are proud survivors of the "snowpacolypse", "snowmageddon", whatever you want to call the chaos that went on here in Atlanta this past week.
All I know is that we feel very BLESSED and we are so THANKFUL that our family was HOME together the whole entire time.

Chad has been working from home the past few weeks, so he didn't travel into work that day.
THANK YOU LORD!!

But we voiced many prayers for those who were stuck in that BIG mess.
We heard continuous sirens the whole entire day.

Grayson was so excited at the sight of the first snowfall.  He kept proclaiming throughout the day, "God answered my question!!"
Apparently, he has been praying for snow for quite some time now.

The first thing Chad does at the sight of snowfall is set out several large trays to catch the fresh snow so that he can whip up a batch of SNOW CREAM.
We were eating it for DAYS!

Snow Angels!

Snowballs!!

Obviously, Caroline was not a fan of the snow this year.  She enjoyed watching it from the inside, but being IN it was a different story.

Sledding!

Oh yes! A warm fire...there's a SMILE!!  That's MY girl!!

We got out for a walk.....

and arranged for a few PLAY DATES....

I don't know how she did it, but this little snow bear managed to fall asleep in the below freezing temperatures...

So despite the CRAZINESS, we managed to have an enjoyable few days of being SNOWED IN.

We thank the Lord for His MERCIES and PROTECTION for all of those who were stuck on the roads for an insane amount of time.
